Parking

Free parking alongside the road up from the wharf and community hall seems to be used by the locals. Please check the parking signs for time restrictions if you plan on leaving a vehicle on the island.

Checking in

If you're on your return journey or have made an off-island ferry booking the crew will greet you and check you in at the beach upon loading. You'll need to be down at the beach 60 minutes prior to departure as departure times are based on tides. To secure a space on our ferry, we do recommend you book in advance.

If you don't already have a pre-purchased ticket the crew will be able to sell you one. Payment can be via EFTPOS, Visa or MasterCard.

Driving my vehicle on the ferry

If you're travelling to/from Rakino Island you will most likely travel on our drive onto and drive off  ferry. On the odd occasion you may need to reverse your vehicle on.  A crew member can assist with this if you are unable to do so.

Unaccompanied children

Passengers under 14 years old or those regarded as too young (or not fit to travel alone) must be accompanied by a responsible person at least 14 years or older. We may require the parent/guardian to complete an 'Unaccompanied Minor Application for Travel' form before travel will be allowed. Children under 12 years of age may not travel unaccompanied unless an authorisation form is completed. *Please note that some sailing times may not be available to unaccompanied minors.
