Changes to Waiheke Island pricing

Our passenger and vehicle (up to 5.5m) fares for Waiheke sailings now vary partly with demand. This means you may get a better deal if you plan ahead, and are flexible with sailing dates and times. A change fee will be charged if you wish to change your booking ($20 for a vehicle booking and $5 for a passenger only booking) plus any fare difference must be paid. New fares and change fees do not apply to Waiheke Residents’ Deals, Rental Car Deals, account customer rates, concessions and multi-passes.

Construction Works - Kennedy Point Waiheke Island

From Monday 11 March until 21 December 2019 Auckland Transport will be undertaking construction work close to the SeaLink Kennedy Point ferry terminal. The following changes will be in place;

  •  Donald Bruce Road will be reduced to a ‘confirmed ferry booking’ lane only.
  •  Parking near the terminal will not be available
  •  Foot passengers should be picked up and dropped off at the 24-hour carpark at the top of the hill, not at the terminal.
  •  Drop-off and pick-up of disabled passengers is available near the ramp. Please advise the AT traffic controller at Kennedy Point
  •  Due to the loss of lanes near the terminal, ‘standbys’ cannot be accommodated To assist with reducing volumes and congestion SeaLink requests all passenger and vehicle sales and booking changes be made at www.sealink.co.nz or by calling 0800 732 546.

Gold AT HOP card Waiheke Travel

Travelling to Waiheke Island as a foot passenger on your Gold AT HOP card from Half Moon Bay or Wynyard Quarter? Book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Please remember it is IMPORTANT that you 'tag on' when boarding and 'tag off' on arrival at your destination.

  • Check-in 30 minutes prior to departure to or from Waiheke Island
  • Check-in 60 minutes prior to departure to or from Great Barrier Island

Please note: To get everyone loaded and ensure the ferry departs on time, we can’t guarantee passage if you’re running late.
