Parking

While we don’t have parking on site, if you're a foot passenger there's parking located around the marina area. There is 14 hour parking next door to the terminal but if you need longer than this you may need to park on one of the nearby side-streets further up the road.

Please check the parking signs for time restrictions and allow yourself time to walk from your vehicle to the terminal, in time for check-in.

Terminal facilities

There's a ticketing office for passengers who have not pre-purchased tickets. While waiting for your ferry, there's a comfortable indoor waiting area equipped with a wheelchair-accessible toilet.

If you've made a ferry booking, you can remain in your vehicle and one of our traffic marshals will come to your car and check you in.

Checking in

All passengers and vehicles travelling to/from Waiheke Island with or without vehicles should report a minimum of 30 minutes prior to departure. Due to loading requirements, boarding will close 20 minutes prior to departure for vehicles and 15 minutes prior for foot passengers. SeaLink reserves the right to deny boarding after this time.

If you're travelling with your vehicle our traffic marshal will greet you as you enter the gate onto the wharf. They will direct you to park in one of the loading lanes ready to board the ferry. As we often have full sailings we ask that you park as closely as possible behind the car in front of you, to allow us to get all travellers into the loading lanes.

If you don't already have a pre-purchased ticket or have extra passengers joining you, you'll be directed into the ticketing office. Payment can be via EFTPOS or by credit card. All passengers must have a ticket to be able to board the ferry.

Driving my vehicle on the ferry

If you're travelling to Waiheke Island, we have ferries that you can just drive on and those which you'll need to reverse your vehicle onto. It will depend on which ferry is operating the service you have booked on. If for some reason, you're unable to reverse your vehicle onto the ferry, our friendly crew can assist.

Unaccompanied children

Passengers under 14 years old or those regarded as too young (or not fit to travel alone) must be accompanied by a responsible person at least 14 years or older. We may require the parent/guardian to complete an 'Unaccompanied Minor Application for Travel' form before travel will be allowed. Children under 12 years of age may not travel unaccompanied unless an authorisation form is completed. *Please note that some sailing times may not be available to unaccompanied minors.
