Easter Weekend 2017 

Good Friday Groove - Friday 14 April - 12noon - 6pm

Marking the start of the three-day festival, Dave Dobbyn and his all-star band headline the GOOD FRIDAY GROOVE at the picturesque Rangihoua Estate in Rocky bay. Joining them are Little Bushman (featuring Warren Maxwell from Trinity Roots, Fat Freddy’s Drop), Melbourne 8-piece “Cinematic Soul” group the Cactus Channel and Kiwi icons Hopetoun Brown, who open the show and will join Dobbyn later on stage for some rousing renditions of some of Dave’s all-time classic NZ hits.

Daytime Jazz About - Saturday 15 & Sunday 16 April - 12noon - 5pm

DAYTIME JAZZABOUT is the ideal day trip from Auckland – on Easter Saturday and Sunday from midday till 5pm ONE ticket provides access to 2 venues within easy walking distance from each other

Evening Concerts - Friday 14 and Saturday 15 April - 7pm - 10pm

The premier Headline acts of the festival present a series of stunning EVENING CONCERTS on Friday and Saturday. On Friday 14th the Morra Hall comes alive with the Swinging Wellington City Shake-em-on-downers and Sal Valentine & the Babyshakes – bring your dancing shoes! At artworks theatre, the same evening we present “Women in Jazz” with the Allana Goldsmith Quartet and their Tribute to Sarah Vaughn, paired with Australia’s finest Jazz Diva, Nichaud Fitzgibbon – absolute class,
On Saturday 15th at Morra Hall, the Nairobi Trio and guests are paired with Melbourne’s sensational “Cinematic Soul” 8 piece powerhouse, The Cactus Channel. At Artworks Theatre Harry Lyon (from Hello Sailor) unveils his new solo show, followed by Wellington’s latest and hottest new group Miles Calder and the Rumours – these shows sell out fast, so be quick to get your tickets to avoid disappointment!7-10pm Friday & Saturday

Supper Club - Friday 14 and Saturday 15 April - 10pm - 1am

Round off your evening at APERITIVO WINE BAR in central Oneroa at the SUPPER CLUB – the late night venue of the Festival – On Friday 14th and Saturday 15th APRIL between 9.30pm and midnight.  Be dazzled by the stars of the festival in a stunning intimate environment.

Grand Finale - Sunday 16 April - 7pm - 10.30pm

Always a favourite of festival-goers, the Grand Finale is the ideal way to wrap up the Festival in style – where the stars come out to play one more time – expect some very special performances - this year Sal Valentine & the Babyshakes will close the festival – don’t miss this sensational show – see your favourite acts from over the weekend bid you farewell at the picturesque Rangihoua Estate.


Jazz Long lunch - Monday 17 April - 1pm - 4pm

Wind down on Easter Monday at the stunning Peacock Sky Vineyard, at the latest addition to the festival – the Jazz Long lunch – featuring two of Australia’s finest – Nichaud Fitzgibbon (Melbourne’s sensational Jazz Diva), George Washinmachine setting the stage on fire with the ever-popular Nairobi Trio.
