Waiheke Island resident & Commercial deals new fares and conditions from 1st April 2022

Waiheke Residents (Private) Fares

Conditions from 1st April 2022:

  • Fares only available to SeaLink Resident Membership Card holders. 
  • Residents may be asked to produce their SeaLink Resident Membership Card at the time of travel, and if this is not produced, will be asked to upgrade to a standard fare. 
  • Travel is only available on a return basis and must originate from Waiheke Island. 

  • The Waiheke Residents (Private) Deal applies only to a car, ute or van up to 5.9 metres in length and cannot be used for a truck, trailer or campervan of any length. 

  • The Waiheke Residents (Private) Deal cannot be used for commercial purposes, and as such, cannot be purchased on a credit or cash account, nor can it be purchased using a company name. 

  • All passengers originally booked with a vehicle must travel on the return journey; otherwise an upgrade fee will apply. 

  • Waiheke Residents Fares may not be used with any other offer. 

  • Fares are subject to change without notice. Once a booking is accepted, the fare for that booking cannot be unilaterally changed, however. 

  • Waiheke Residents (Private) Deal fares can be booked online, at our ticket office or through our call centre on 09 300 5900 without any extra service fee. Open return fares can only be booked through our ticket office or call centre for which a $15 service fee will apply to these type fares. 

  • The purchase of credit for future travel is not permitted. 

  • Changes can be made online, through our ticket office or call centre. Any change made through our ticket office or call centre will incur a $20 ($5 if passenger only) fee as well as the cost of any applicable upgrade to a standard or higher value fare. For the avoidance of doubt, the confirmation of dates for an open return fare will not be counted as a change but any subsequent change(s) will incur a $20 ($5 if passenger only) fee when done through our ticket office or call centre. 

  • If a Waiheke Residents (Private) Deal booking is cancelled in advance the fare can be held in credit, less a $20 administration fee, for future travel (valid up to a maximum of 6 months). A SeaLink Waiheke Resident Card Holder can only be issued with a maximum of two credits per calendar month, after which, any cancellations will be refunded as per clause 2.4 of our general terms and conditions. Clause 2.9 (Making changes to your bookings during Covid alert levels) of SeaLink’s general terms and conditions will continue to apply.   

  • If any Waiheke Residents (Private) Deal terms and conditions are breached by the customer, SeaLink reserves the right to cancel the Waiheke Residents (Private) Deal booking or require the customer to pay the standard return fare. If any Waiheke Residents (Private) Deal terms and conditions are breached by the customer more than once, SeaLink reserves the right to deny the purchase of any Waiheke Residents (Private) Deal fares to the customer (and any other fares generally available exclusively to Waiheke Island residents) and require that any future fares are purchased at standard rates.

Waiheke Commercial Vehicle Deal

Conditions from 1st April 2022:

  • Fares only available to Waiheke Commercial Resident Customers. 

  • Waiheke Island Commercial businesses will need to submit proof of commercial residency here or at our ticket offices, along with a list of their driver names who will be travelling under the Waiheke Commercial Vehicle Deal.* 
  • Travel is only available on a return basis and must originate from Waiheke Island. 
  • The deal applies only to a car, van, trailer, ute or truck up to 5.9 metres in length and cannot be used for a campervan of any length. 

  • The deal can be used for commercial purposes, and as such, can be purchased on a credit or cash account, and can be purchased using a company name. 

  • All passengers originally booked with a vehicle must travel on the return journey; otherwise an upgrade fee will apply. 

  • Fare may not be used with any other offer.

  • If a Waiheke Commercial Vehicle Deal booking is cancelled in advance the fare can be held in credit, less a $20 administration fee, for future travel (valid up to a year). A SeaLink Waiheke Commercial Account Holder can only be issued with a maximum of four credits per calendar month, after which, any cancellations will be refunded as per clause 2.5 of our general terms and conditions (irrespective of vehicle length). Clause 2.9 (Making changes to your bookings during Covid alert levels) of SeaLink’s general terms and conditions will continue to apply. 

  • If any Waiheke Commercial Vehicle Deal terms and conditions are breached by the customer, SeaLink reserves the right to deny the purchase of Waiheke Commercial Vehicle Deal fares to the customer (and any other fares generally available exclusively to Waiheke Island residents) and require that any future travel is purchased at standard fares.
