Health & Safety

We have a Zero harm goal and work together to keep everyone safe

Zero Harm Workplace

SeaLink is committed to ensuring the health and safety of its employees, customers, contractors and operates a safe workplace management system. Our team are all trained to identify and mitigate risks.

Zero Harm work safe policy

All our team are experienced, qualified and trained for the roles they carry out. In particular, employees are trained to identify hazards and report incidents or accidents promptly in order to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.

We ask that all others required to be on site understand and accept the responsibility to promote a safe working environment. Protecting the health and safety of our drivers, team and the public is very important to us.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, SeaLink continues to follow guidance from the New Zealand Ministry of Health and prioritise the safety of employees and customers.

The following measures have been put into place to combat the spread of the virus:

• Travel on SeaLink ferries is now restricted to essential services only to Waiheke Island and Great Barrier Island, so with a reduced sailing schedule, it may take a longer than normal for us to get your freight to you at Alert Level 4
• All Sealink freight pick up and deliveries are contactless — please ensure all bookings are online and that correct contact details are provided
• When delivering freight into our depots, drivers and customers must wear a face covering when they leave their vehicle at our depots, for example, when loading and unloading freight and maintain physical distancing of 2 metres
• Sanitising spray, disinfectant, medical grade single use wipes and hand sanitiser are provided at our depots for use, and drivers and customers are required to practice good hygiene standards at all times
