Where do the ferries to Waiheke Island depart from?
SeaLink ferries depart from Half Moon Bay in Auckland's eastern suburbs seven days a week. A service also operates from Jellicoe Street (opposite Auckland's Fish Market) on Friday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (timetable may vary between June and September).

Where on Waiheke Island do the ferries arrive?
Ferries arrive at Kennedy Point on Waiheke Island. Most accommodation places are within 10 - 15 minutes drive of here.
How long does it take to get to Waiheke Island?
Standard services from Half Moon Bay take 45 minutes. FreightLink's service and the service from Auckland City take 60 minutes. Sailing times are approximate and can be affected by weather and / or operational requirements.
Making bookings
Do I need to book ahead?
We strongly recommend that you book ahead to avoid disappointment. You may book most services online or through our sales centre on (09) 300 5900.
When I make an internet booking, the price doesn't seem right.
When you make a booking online, the system shows the price of each sector of your journey. Once you have completed your booking the sector fares are added together to make the total value for your booking.
Travelling with SeaLink
Can I travel without my car?
Absolutely! We welcome foot passengers on all of our services.
Car parking
Can I leave my car at the terminal?
There is no public parking space at our terminals and SeaLink will not be responsible if your vehicle is towed, damaged or stolen while left unattended at or around our premises.
At Half Moon Bay parking may be available on the street, however be careful to read signs and take care where you park. We suggest you look at alternative options if you plan to be gone more than a day.
At Jellicoe Street some parking is available on the street but we urge you to check signs carefully before parking. Paid parking is available across the road at the Auckland Fish Market and must be pre-arranged by calling (09) 3794720 Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. Tickets will need to be collected during office hours.
Other services
Why can't I find trailer or truck pricing on the website?
Vehicle pricing is dependent on the length and the width of vehicles. If you are travelling in (or with) anything other than a standard car, please call us for the correct pricing.
Where can I find information about the island and accommodation?
SeaLink's Holiday programme offers packaged holidays which include discounted ferry fares. We can help with most general queries and send you brochures about the destination.
Can vessels be chartered?
SeaLink vessels are available for charter. Please call us for more information.
Where else does SeaLink sail to?
From time to time we do run services to other islands in the Hauraki Gulf however this is an "on demand service" and is mainly for the delivery of freight and work vehicles. Please call us for more information
